Cat 1 Echocardiography Series II

Upon completion of this series, the participant will be able to identify aortic stenosis, aortic regurgitation, mitral stenosis, mitral regurgitation, and mitral valve prolapse by understanding the etiology, pathology, signs and symptoms, echocardiographic findings, and the use of other diagnostic techniques including medical history, signs and symptoms, EKG, palpation, auscultation, and catheterization.  The participant will also be able to identify treatments appropriate to the specific disease.

The presentation utilizes standard animation, case study video, audio and video interactive activities, and simulation methods to reinforce learning. Evaluation utilizes knowledge-recall, application-interpretation, and simulation constructs to meet course objectives.

A 10 question post test is included to assist the participant in evaluating their understanding of the course material.
