Congenital Heart Disease: Embryology

This course reviews the embryology of fetal heart formation. Topics include formation of the heart tube, heart loop, the seven regions of the heart loop, and formation of the cardiac valves. Most appropriate for student, intermediate and advanced echocardiographers.

Objectives:
To be able to define common terms of cardiac embryology to include formation of the heart tube, heart loop, the seven regions of the heart loop, and formation of the cardiac valves.
