Electrophysiology
and The Specialized Conduction System
This course reviews the anatomy and physiology of the specialized conduction
system and accessory bypass tracts. Session includes interactive activities
in identifying components, cellular depolarization processes, and bypass
tract identification.
Objective:
To be able to identify the anatomy of the heart's conduction system, the
components and their functions, the action potentials for pacemaker and
non-pacemaker cells, accessory bypass tracts and currently accepted therapies
for pre-excitation syndromes. A 10 question exam and evaluation form completes
the course.
(Grade of 70% is required to receive CME credit)
