Echo 202 - Basic Principles of Ultrasound

This course reviews the most basic principles of ultrasound to include properties, definitions, and instrumentation needed to better understand the use of ultrasound in a medical setting for cardiac diagnosis.

Objective:
To be able to define principle characteristics of medical ultrasound to include the Doppler equation, types of echoes, principles, construction, artifacts, bioeffects and safety. A 10 question exam and evaluation form completes the course.
(Grade of 70% is required to receive CME credit)
